Burns Night at East Bridgford Hill

Last Saturday East Bridgford Hill hosted a Burns Night celebration, and certainly the whiskey, haggis and tartan were in plentiful supply. We had great fun with the table decorations with tartan ribbon, Scott's pine, heather and snowdrops, and went for the rugged wind-swept look for the urn on the piano, with teasels for thistles, and amaryllis for a bit of drama. It was a night for all hands on deck, and I had a whale of a time in the kitchen, in charge of such important things as the gravy and the custard (even that was far too much responsibility!). I think we had as much fun as the guests, and they were certainly having a right highland fling! Looking forward to next year's Burns Night already!
