I always feel that Mother's Day can bring on all sorts of emotions for people. I'm very lucky to still have my lovely mum in my life, but I can imagine that your mum is one of the hardest people to lose or be estranged from. I'm also lucky enough to be a mum, but still appreciate how hard it can be if you have fertility problems, as my only daughter is an IVF baby & I've had 3 ectopic pregnancies. Mother's Day may also highlight anxieties if your children have physical or mental health issues, & having seen my own parents lose my brother, losing a child is something you can never be prepared for. Life is so precious, so precarious. 

Every year I donate to MDUK, always in memory of my little brother Timothy, & in recognition that Mother's Day can also be a difficult time for some.
